A well-established, reputable business based in Carlow is looking for an have a Fire Door Engineer or Fire Door Inspector job for an experienced engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The Role
Hands-on, detail-focused work across fire door installation, inspection, maintenance, and compliance. This is a role for someone who takes passive fire protection seriously and knows the difference between doing it right and doing it quickly.
Day to day:
- Inspecting and certifying fire doors to current standards
- Carrying out installation and remedial works as required
- Producing accurate inspection reports and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with relevant fire safety legislation and standards
- Liaising professionally with clients and site teams
What They’re Looking For
- Proven, hands-on experience in fire door inspection, installation, or maintenance
- Solid understanding of passive fire protection principles and compliance requirements
- Relevant qualifications a strong advantage — FDIS, BM TRADA, Guild of Architectural Ironmongery, or equivalent
- Good attention to detail and ability to produce clear, accurate reports
- Professional manner with clients and on-site teams
- Full, clean driving licence
- Local to Carlow/Kilkenny — commutable distance preferred
